Mountain weather is rather unpredictable and can change within a few hours. Even in summer it can become very cold and misty without much warning. Jerseys and jackets should be brought with you throughout the year and a pair of good shoes is essential.
During heavy rains, the low water bridge to Homestead Lodge may be flooded, in which case it will be inadvisable and dangerous to cross. We have recently made some improvements to the bridge but, if in any doubt, contact us to establish conditions before attempting to reach the lodge.
